Does everybody remember how Halo 5: Guardians was meant to be the game of the year? The hype set up for it was so big, honestly I thought it would blow any other game that came out this year, out of the water! Yes, it was talked about a few days, maybe a week, after its general release, but then it died down. I wondered to myself “Why was such a well-hyped game quieted after only a few days?” Well, the answer was in the game itself!
The game itself runs smoothly and the graphics were amazing! The thing most people buy the game for is for the multiplayer. Don’t lie, I know that’s what you get it for! The servers were good, and net code was spot-on. Just….only one thing didn’t fit in: The Campaign.
The campaign was hyped to be about 2 elite Spartans: One for the good, one for the bad. It was all up to you on how you wanted the game to end out. I will not be writing any spoilers out if that’s what you’re wondering. I hate when people spoil movies/games/tv shows. It’s like, what would happen if I dumped your early morning Cheerios, down your well ironed out shirt? (Does anybody iron anymore? If you do, drop a comment down below!) Now back to the campaign.
The well-known Spartan is the one and only: Spartan 117 A.K.A. The Master Chief. This “new” Spartan that was introduced, is named Spartan Locke. The way most Halo fans would play, is have the Chief, be the good Spartan…but if your one of those rebels that always like to mess with things…This is your kind of game! You control both Spartans and have choices on how you want the outcome to be!
But the downfall of Halo 5, was how bad the campaign was. I have had so many people tell me “Don’t buy Halo 5. It’s not worth it!” But with Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, and Star Wars: Battlefront right around the corner, it was going to be very interesting to see what would happen to the sales of Halo 5. Halo 5: Guardians made $550 Million in its launch week.
Black Ops 3 was amazing! Treyarch always knows how to make a game perfect. Unless, of course, your one of those unlucky people who got the bad server status and hit-box detection. Give the game another go, and I’m sure it will be fixed in no time! The zombies are the key to the Call Of Duty: Black Ops series. That’s one of the few reasons why people even bought Black Ops 3! They love the zombies part of the game! Treyarch even listened to out pleas and out cries….they added a Zombies campaign in after the standard campaign! If that doesn’t make you get up and run to your store to get it, I don’t know what does! In the Black Ops 3 campaign, you take on the role of “The Player”, who is a cybernetically advanced, super human on the hunt for a former commander that has gone dark. All the while you have a criminal organization trying to kill you! Sounds like every other Call Of Duty campaign, am I right? Black Ops 3 made $550 Million in its first 3 days, completely blowing Halo 5: Guardians, out of the water.
Fallout 4 blew both Black Ops 3 AND Halo 5 out of the water. Fallout 4 made $750 Million during Bethesda’s launch party. They said they had shipped 12 million copies out on its launch date. There’s no words to describe how amazing this game is. Bethesda really set the bar high on how open-world games were supposed to be made. In this game, you take on the role of the “Sole Survivor” of a nuclear blast that devastated the Boston area. Hunt your way through the campaign, all the while finding hidden bobble-heads scattered all through out the Boston area. This is not like any other Fallout game, you do not need to repair your weapons. Completely throws people off when you throw this at them. You can also scavenge for building materials to build your house, maybe even your own village!
Now we move further, Star Wars: Battlefront. The game the people have waited for many years (10 to be exact). Although people have already been complaining on how Battlefront, just doesn’t have enough “game” for it to be worth $60.The Season Pass that was put up for sale, is $50. It now has 9 multiplayer game modes with 12 maps to play on from launch date. Published by EA and developed by DICE, Star Wars:Battlefront. Always has been. But this year, DICE has made 2 DLC for Battlefield 4, while working on Star Wars: Battlefront. This has many people upset due to it having an effect on Battlefront’s gameplay side. There’s not really much that you can say about the campaign…Because there isn’t one! This makes it look like a Destiny sort of game. It has not been released by DICE or EA had much or how many copies were sold.
