January: Xbox One Backwards Compatible Games

As we near the end of the month its time for the announcement of what games from Xbox 360 will become available on Xbox One.  There was a lot of people who had high hopes for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops as they were the top voted by the community for backwards compatibility.  While there has been no mention of these titles coming anytime soon, except for Call of Duty Black Ops will become available sometime in the near future.

Without further delay here are the games that you can now download and play via the Xbox site and play on your Xbox One:

  • Aegis Wing
  • Age of Booty
  • Counter-Strike Global Offensive
  • Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad
  • Sam & Max Save the World
  • Skullgirls
  • Small Arms
  • Soul Calibur
  • Space Giraffe

Limited Free Game to be downloaded:

  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

The interesting part of this launch is that it comes with a free game as well – The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings can be downloaded for free until February 5.  This is a great game that some may have missed, I highly reccommend it because it is a phenominal RPG.
