Publisher: Bandai Namco Games America Inc.
Rating: E For Everyone
Release Date: January 17, 2017
A series of mysterious towers have been placed all around Angel Grove, forcing the Power Rangers to spring into action. As they take on Rita Repulsa and her monsters to save there city from destruction.
You can play As Jason, Trini, Kimberly, Billy, Zack, Tommy (Green And White), Adam, Kat, Rocky And Aisha In This Game. You will have to fight your way through various levels and beat up different monsters including everyone’s favorite – putties. I started this game by choosing the White Ranger (Tommy.) Every level plays out the same as you expect in a side scrolling beat’em up game. You move left to right and beat up the wave up enemies that come at you. The third and final level of the chapters ends with a boss fight. Once you initially defeat the monster, Rita sends her magic wand to “MAKE MY MONSTER GROWWWWW !!” You then call upon the combined power of their zords to create the Megazord. You don’t get to control the Megazord at all when you in battle mode, you go through quick time events..
The game features many modern touches like its bright and colorful high-definition animated graphics, and variable character stats, the 2D side scrolling design goes back to the glory days of arcade brawlers, the game includes voice samples and music taken from the original TV series itself. There are 6 chapters in the game all based on major events from the show. The performance of the game runs somewhat smooth with some glitches like when you punch and kick a monster they are some what off. You can’t pick up the monster when you knock them down you have to wait till they stand back up. When you kill a monster you would collect these exp orbs that will level you up they would bounce off into another screen and you could not collect them.
Hard Knock Verdict
The game is bright and colorful but the music and sound effects are the only thing this game has going for it. No online Co Op (local couch CoOp only), block button is useless, the Megazord battles are bad, the combat is repetitive and boring, graphical glitches and the hit boxes are off, along with control issues. What also disappointed me was you can only play as the Megazord when you take on the bosses.
If if you enjoyed the game and didn’t come across these issues, let me in know the comments. In the meantime Follow us on Twitter @HardKnockGamers and join other Gamers like myself in the Hard Knock Gamers group on Facebook – “The Place to be For ALL Gamers on ALL Platforms”

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Mega Battle is a 2D side scrolling beat’em up arcade brawler with a nostalgic feeling that brings back memories of the classic power ranger that does not deliver. However I would’ve like to been able to summon the White Tigerzord or even the Dragonzord. This game has more bad issues than good and I do not recommend this game.
