SONY Confirms Playstation 4K

Despite all the news SONY has been dropping leading up to E3, Andrew House has confirmed the many rumors surrounding the Playstation 4K aka Playstation NEO.

Andrew House spoke with the Financial Times and had this to say about why it wont be at E3;

We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety

No official release date has been given but House anticipates all games or a large amount of them to work on both eventhough the work needed to accomplish this might be small for developers to make games for  the standard and the Playstation 4k.

All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a large majority of games will also support the high end PS4

So they wont be alienating half their fan-base but with all good things they must be a price. House said that

It would cost more than the $350 [standard] PS4

SONY has been preaching from the start “For The Players” since the launch of the PS4. As time goes by, 4k TVs has become more affordable which means they are more of them in people homes and gamers say they want their consoles games to look the best. SONY decided why not offer something for both consumers – which is The Playstation 4K.

 It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4. We will be selling both through the life cycle

Dont know how that will happen because if I have one console that plays better than the other one and I do have a 4K TV why would I play the standard? But thats just me.

But if you want the full details of Andrew House statements visit the Financial Times

Let us know in the comments will you be getting your PS4K to sit alongside your standard PS4 and are you in favor of the PS4K?
